Welcome to this the 12th year of the Roe Valley International Folk Festival, over all these years we have managed to retain the festivals unique and intimate atmosphere. This year as always we will try and ensure good song, dance, play and most of all plenty of good and peaceful entertainment, all in the surroundings of our wonderful borough “Limavady”.

This year you will not be disappointed with various entertainments on offer from ceiliadh’s, concerts, traditional sessions, story telling, as well as multi events from our local folk club and for all the kids out there don’t forget the free various children’s events on the Saturday all within the Market Street area. This is truly a family festival so please believe us when we tell you this all belongs to you, so never let up on your unending yearly support for the event.

Many successful festivals are held throughout the calendar year, such as the ever popular Jazz & Blues and the up and coming Danny Boy Festival. We believe that our Festival complements all of these events and our unique timing during October plays a crucial part in the closing of Limavady’s Festival calendar.

This years opening event will take place in the Alexander Arms and with the help of our local Folk Club it is sure to be a night full of wonderful traditional music and entertainment suitable for all. Spaces and seating will be limited so it is advised to come early, and enjoy what will be a wonderful start to what will be a great and unforgettable weekend.
